At least, you'd think it should have been. Seems like a no-brainer, the PS1 has some exceptionally strong titles. The PSC even includes a few. The ball was just dropped hard with execution. I think it would have been much better received, even despite the inclusion of the original bone controllers, had they just given it another few months in development to make absolutely certain the emulation was top notch. The hardware is more than capable, proven by running newer and more optimized code. As-is, it shipped with some notable games and totally regrettable performance. The reason the Nintendos printed money isn't just because the game lists are solid, but the whole experience was comparatively quite good. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
