Dont get me wrong, Im certainly not in the well its min wage, youre not supposed to make enough to live off it brigade but its absolute horseshit that EMTs play a critical role in a modern civilization, shoulder a huge burden of responsibility and would get paid the same as a fast food worker.... despite needing to have several certifications and the ability to not fuck anything up, which is very rare in the fast food industry despite not being intellectually or physically challenging industry.
I agree with you,I just passed $15 last year after 5yrs of building stratospheric balloons for NASA.We should be grandfathered the pay gap. ---
