True. Fortunately THAT didnt get spoiled for me. Well one thing sorta TB

It didn't get spoiled for me (at first - I kind of wiki-spoiled myself after), but I absolutely hate that premise.

It's mostly because of how ham-fisted the game is about it. The very first cutscene that the dude was in coughing, I was like "Holy fuck, I need to stay away from this guy." I'm sorry, I've seen Tombstone (and I know you have too, Rockstar), so I get that this guy blatantly has TB. Then I get the mission to go rough him up to get him to pay off his debt, and I'm like "Hell no, I want to stay as far away from him as I can." So I talk to him (because I don't really have a choice), and it forces me into close quarters.

Then it gives me the option to either threaten or beat, and I just keep picking threaten (partly because I know that can succeed - I've already collected on a mission like this just via threats, because I'm playing Arthur more as a relatively nice guy who only occasionally does bad things, so he doesn't immediately resort to beating the shit out of everyone he meets). And the game ignores me, eventually pushing me into having to hit him. And I'm like "Son of a bitch", because I've already picked up on what they're doing. And then he spits on me and I'm like "GOD DAMN IT". And then shortly after I wind up doing a mission with Javier and Arthur has a little cough, and I'm like "YOU MOTHERFUCKERS".

It's worse for me because Arthur actually lives in the time period where people KNOW TB is a thing, and that it's basically an incurable death sentence. I don't care how much money the dude owes you, you'd think Arthur would be slightly more self-aware about the guy who is literally coughing every single time you see him. I hate when a game which pretends to take your choices into account (at least to some degree) forces you into the stupidest choice possible solely because the writers decided they were artistes and their "genius" vision requires you to die of illness to counterpoint the futility of violence and how it doesn't solve everything. True art is suffering! I GET IT, YOU WANT TO PRETEND TO BE DEEP.

But I still picked the Deathwish option in GTAV's ending, because fuck you.

Other than that, it's kind of annoying how certain things wind up being super-telegraphed. Like how I knew Micah was going to be a massive problem about 30 seconds after meeting him, and it's like "Okay, so this is the final boss fight because I can't kill Dutch, isn't it?"

I feel like it's also kind of annoying how they wrote John's character, because it feels like it kind of shits on his characterization from the first game a bit. But that's more of a minor issue.
