I'm old, so I couldn't really take advantage of going in the past and using my knowledge to get rich etc.

Sure you could. How does being old now make that impossible? Memorize some lotto numbers. Just one huge jackpot, the week before that huge jackpot was won, so you don't have to share. Boom. Rich and 20 years younger than you are now.

I meant simply that by the time I got back to this time again, I would be too old to enjoy it, and that I had already enjoyed myself, played the best video games, watched all the movies etc, from the last 20 years. By the time I could take advantage of the tons of money I had, to do new things, I would be too old to enjoy it (70+).

Therefore, going to the future would allow me to enjoy all the things that happen in the next 20 years, AND be young enough to enjoy things for another 20 years in the future from then.

Would get WAY more new video games, technological advances etc that way.

Present doesn't do anything for me, past I would be bored to tears for 20 years, only the future would have any advantage at all. I'd also make money that way as well (investing before going into the future) just not as much.
