Either you turn him into a woman but keep the characteristics, but then what's the point, you've just cast a woman but she's playing a man. Or you change the character, but why then call her 'Jane' Bond? Why then keep the name of that franchise? The Doctor turning into a woman makes sense; there's little, if anything, inherently masculine about the Doctor. Aside from that, the regenerations constantly turn him into a new person, with a different personality and a different being than the one who came before. Ghostbusters was always more about a group of guys rather than one guy; altering that to a group of girls isn't that far-fetched. Like, if there's any spy movie you wanna genderswap, go for Mission: Impossible. Tom is getting too old for that shit anyway! --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! ... Copied to Clipboard! |
