("Chunky" was the original name for that particular type of peanut butter when it was first invented, though. And what I've always heard it called for my entire life. Maybe someone in marketing decided that "chunky" sounds too awkward and pushed to have it changed to "crunchy" instead, because they think it sounds more appetizing?
