If you don't mind my asking, what is your style of veganism? Totally strict? Or are you allowed milk?

No veganism allows animal milks. I drink oat and soy milk

And/or, are you allowed to use eggs, since those are never fertilized (thanks to birds being weird) and thus having no issues since they never actually take a potential life of a potential future chicken?

No, that's an animal product. Some ovo vegetarians eat eggs, eggs aren't universally vegetarian (and are never vegan)

I will say just this: In the event meat (or other food, but its especially strong with animal-based food) is in front of me on a table, I will feel obligated to ensure it is not wasted. For my belief is that it is far more disrespectful to life to throw something away when you could consume it, than it is to consume it. If something has lived to give you sustenance, then you at least owe it to them to not waste that existence.

Ok? I won't eat it. But I'm up front and no one is offering to serve me meat. I bring my own food. People can save meat for leftovers, I'm in no way obligated to eat that meat. It justifies the demand for more.

The short version: Don't. Waste. Food.

I don't. Meat is not food for me. Others can have it. I won't buy it for others or eat it personally.
