There was no reason for that man and his young daughter to drown in that river because they had secured a humanitarian visa. But under Trumps zero tolerance border policy, a policy not interpreted or enforced by any previous administration, they were held in a detention camp for months for no other crime than legally applying for asylum in the US until they reached their breaking point. Go ahead and defend that if you think the Trump administration is doing the right thing at the southern border You're right, there was no reason for them to die. They could have stayed in El Salvador instead of trying to exploit our asylum laws. There's a billion people on this planet living in horrible poverty.
