I don't remember it ever being this bad but then I realized, I've never been in a city when a professional franchise has been successful (the Marlies don't count)

I remember the square being closed off when Canada won the gold at men's hockey in the 2010 olympics... and I think I remember some occasional honking during World Cups. I wasn't in Ottawa when the Sens were in the cup finals, but that's not really a city or team that generates "drive around for two hours honking your horn" levels of enthusiasm. If/when the Raptors win I'll need to arrange with my boss to work from home the next day since I'll get no sleep that night, lol.

It's just so weird to think the Raptors are so close. It seemed like you had these juggernaut superteams that would always stop them in the east (okay, Lebron moreso than a superteam), or stomp them from the west. It's crazy.
