The wealthiest humans will certainly be fine, at least in the short term. It's developing countries and the poor who won't be able to cope with the changes.

Survival of the fattest.

You got that backyards. Being rich won't help when you don't have a clue how to survive in the wild.

Technology isn't going to melt though. The advantages that wealthy countries have will allow them to develop preventative measures against the negative effects of global warming.

What we're likely to see over the next couple centuries is the largest and slowest refugee crisis in history, with victims of flooding and food shortages trying to flee to whichever nations have the technology to adapt to the changing climate.

Pretty much the best case scenerio, but honestly not likely to happen. I would state my theories on what will actually happen, but it's depressing and wouldn't help anyone. I deeply regret never getting to have children as I always wanted a family, but I must say it was probably a good thing in the long run (and by having children I include adoption which is what I would have done).
