I'm contemplating about moving to NY since I've lived in Atlanta my entire life and its always been a dream of mine to live in the city for two years or so. I'm 27 almost 28 and I have nothing anchoring me here and it'd just be me and my doge moving up.

Assuming that I'd give up my car and take transit everywhere my only large bill other than rent would be my student loans which is $350 a month.

I dont drink but I still like to go out to mingle and try to meet people. I typically cook all of my meals at home minus the weekends but I love food so I'm sure once I get there I'd be more enticed to try out a lot of restaurants.

I wouldn't want roommates so is this reasonable? I make 70K now so I live very comfortable here but obviously NY is much more expensive that GA.
