Pretty 16 bit graphics and neat sprite work do not change the fact the game was 111 missions of a boring slog, featuring one note characters and 0 note jokes. The excellent writing from Retro City Rampage was just missing. The challenges were fun at least, pretty much the only part of the game I enjoyed. It also had this dumb property management system that was the equivalent of just buying a property and letting the money pile in.
