This would require treating restaurant employees like professionals. Those that want to work those jobs are professionals and yes, being a great restaurant employee takes talent, skill and intellect. It's quite unfortunate that despite the number of Americans constantly eating out increasing, those wanting to work in the industry are treated like uneducated dolts. This forces the good ones to find employment elsewhere, forcing the businesses to hire those that don't care, which lowers the level of customer service/satisfaction.

My point being, the entire mindset that restaurant employees are people that have made terrible life choices needs to stop. In fact, looking down on anyone for the job they do in society needs to stop.
