Scarecrow actually falls into an interesting conundrum when it comes to the yellow ring. One seeks him out during the Sinestro Corps War storyline (and he's almost orgasmically overjoyed when he realizes what it is and what it represents), but the heroes manage to stop it from getting to him. But around that same time it's mentioned that he's become completely incapable of feeling fear because he's been dosed by his own fear gases so many times that he's effectively rendered himself immune. And he hates the idea - he's almost like an adrenaline junkie who has pushed himself to the limit so hard that he's no longer capable of generating adrenaline. Which, in theory, should make him worthless to the Sinestro Corps, because it's established that in order to use a yellow ring, you have to be able to tap into your own fear to fuel it (and they actually have a test where they lock you in a box and force you to do that in order to escape), so if he cannot feel fear, he shouldn't be able to use the ring. But then he does get one for a short time in Blackest Night, and it seems to work fine. And in fact seems to make him able to feel fear again. Which he absolutely loves. Zeus posted... You mean he wouldn't be able to use a GL ring despite having used a GL ring? Wearing a ring is not the same as using a ring. And for that matter, being able to use a ring in short bursts of desperation or in alternate universe continuities is not the same as being able to use the ring long-term in the manner to which it was designed to be used. Hal was basically telling Bruce "You shit on me and disrespect me, but you literally cannot do what I do on a daily basis", and by the end of that particular scene, Bruce essentially agreed with him.
