Kill Command
Flash Frost

Even though I kind of know the majority of songs already, I still had to recur to my "listen to the top song first" policy again as I've been noticing since last round that sometimes I just listen to a song and then the next one I listen to sounds arguably better if I don't compare them directly, which is a very dangerous thing to do, especially if I'm in a rush or something.

Match 1:

Ever since I first knew what Danganronpa's premise and thematic was about, I was like "Oh no... Eugh...", so I actually feel bad for rooting for such a cool OST here. This is one of those exceptions where you can have a song with a rather same-sounding tone throughout for 7 minutes and not get sick of it. On the contrary, it stays on a same line of "good" from start to end... except for maybe the sax/trumpet parts where it sounds like they're kind of... just playing very lazily, and with such confidence... Either way, it manages to engage you since it has some subtle variety thrown in there, which is not an easy thing to do for such a long song. On the other hand, Nanohemu is a good experiment on chiptunes that reminds me of Shantae's battle music but better, getting better and better as time progresses; but other than that, it doesn't go beyond a cool experiment IMO.

Match 2:

Dear Flash Frost: Thank you for bringing me back some amazing memories from last year's contest, and 2018 in general. I think it's time for you to finally retire or else that magic will be inevitably diluted, and I don't want you to get behind on joining Laguerra del Mundo, BAaTH, and Dadadadadadadadadada (...wait, did you say Dadadadadadadadadada didn't retire last year? Oh, Dadadadadadadadadada was in the Side Bracket! Then it should be Dadadadadadadadadada's chance already!). I like everything about Flash Frost's making, but I really like the part starting at 0:52; it's the highest point of the song by far and sounds so magical, since it has one of my favorite combinations in videogame music: Rock + bells. As far as Re:Vanishment goes, it's pretty good, I like my dose of sweet-sounding female singing (especially if it's Japanese [and its inherent pinch of Engrish lol]), but it isn't retirement material. It's a kind of passable anime theme.

Frosted Flakes >> Spare Suggestion >> "The Past, Recorrection" >> Nanohemu (Yeah, couldn't think of a clever/funny name...)

Good day.

What? Uh, no, I meant "good day" as in "this was a good day, relatively speaking, since we're in Round 3". But hey, have a good day as well!
