Those bakers had a right to refuse designs, regardless of the reason. I never said the law says a customer can demand "any kind of custom item," because it doesn't. What the law does say is that any item you would provide for one person you must provide for another, regardless of their orientation, race, religion, etc. This means that if they provide wedding cakes for straight couples, they must also provide wedding cakes for gay couples.
