Being a gamer requires you to, like anything else in life be able to enjoy that activity on a regular basis, not causally play a mobile game every once in a while when you're so bored just because you have nothing else to do.

Playing basketball every once in a while doesnt make you a basketball player. If I was serious about playing basket ball and called myself a basketball player because I enjoyed using most of my free time on it then I would expect the same of someone else who claims to do so. Same thing with any other hobby in life.

If I look for a romantic partner who is a gamer because I want to spend most of my free time sharing a hobby we are both passionate about then I am not going to find the right partner if the definition of gamer was the same as Duckbears/The Entertainment Software Association.

That means that half of the women I meet should be eligible for serious dating. The more truthful statement here is forty-six percent of women HAVE played a game or occasionally dabble in gaming. Anyone can game but being a gamer isnt for everyone.
