If I had to guess, I'm of the minority opinion in at least one. It's been some time since I played the second game, but it's final case had two things that particularly bugged me.

The "twist" was painfully obvious before the trial even started. When Matt Engarde breaks his act for a moment to immediately respond to De Killer's name, it's so obvious he's at least an accessory to murder, and probably the one who hired De Killer in the first place. Shame on you if you ever thought he could actually be innocent after this point.. Then you add the fact that this is treated like an amazing plot point/twist half the case later. It so much worse.

The other thing that annoys me about that case is the gallery. Phoenix defends people who look incredibly guilty all the time. He's already represented two celebrities, including the previous Samurai. He was also a major actor (maybe not as high profile, but still pretty high), and essentially the only suspect for almost the entire first two days of his trail. If I recall, he called on Phoenix because *no one* else would take the case, because it was that "hopeless".

The gallery outrage feels completely forced, and only ends up severely hurting the mood of the case. All it's meant to do is bludgeon you for doing just about the same thing Phoenix always does.

Not going to hold Oldbag being even more terrible against this case too much.. She's in far too many in the series as it is.

Speaking of gallery outrage, "1-5" does this point so much better. While that case had it's flaws, it wasn't one of them. Serious corruption was being waved right in their face, and they reacted. It felt much more natural in this regard.
