So to start us off this is what I'm atm working on. Sort of I'm actually having gallbladder surgery tomorrow morning so I'll either die or recover, but expect to be in the hospital 3 to 5 days. I'm bringing my 3ds though. So maybe I'll feel good at some point

Shakedown Hawaii
I bought this because I loved Retro City Rampage when it first dropped on vita years back. Was really hoping for a good reference fest or at the very least some good humor. So this game has none of that. The entire game can be boiled down to

-Protag Old Man watches tv or hears about some shady business practice
-Calls up an employee to demand more info
-Steals, blows up, kills, or acts like a public ass
-Turns out X practice was a dumb idea

That's quite literally the whole game. It looks neat sure but the writing, gameplay, and well any originality are just shot by repetition. The game also breaks missions up in strange ways that even though their are 111 of them, it feels like 300. You see if old protag guy goes to get a burger, thats essentially a mission but not a full mission complete even if it says mission complete. Then his boring rapper wannabe son steals a tv and pawns it, ok missio...nope not really. Usually 4 of these mini missions equal an actual mission.

Then theres the whole business shakedown, buyout, and profit part. Its kinda as broken as Assassins Creed renovation system they had in the ezio trilogy. You start off broke but within an hour you're rich forever.

Rayman PS1
I think the biggest thing I learned about Rayman ps1 is that Ubisoft had very little idea on planning versus execution. Not counting the SNES prototype, yes this started as a snes game, their are 5 different Rayman 1s. Each have wildly different stuff from hit detection boxes being edited, damage scaled, one of the PC versions has the ability to exit any level to the main map, levels added, levels cut, and levels switched around. There are moments Rayman works really well, but most of the time you just sit there asking why. I've currently beaten every level before the Candy Chataeu...but now must backtrack to get all the electoons. Currently have 40% and I'm sure the final world will be chock full of mistakes and bad choices.
