Community college

Community colleges only do associates degrees and certifications.

Good for starting off, but not for the whole thing.

yeah but you can transfer to a university right? it would save so much money and you still get the same degree

Thats what I heard...

That's what I did. Started at a CC, got my 1st degree and went to a university. Wasn't happy with that one after getting my Bachelor's so now I'm taking classes online at a different one

It's what I suggest to everyone because many people find they hate college and end up dropping out before getting an AA degree anyway, or struggle just to get that degree. Might as well get one for 0$=$5000 instead of spending 20k+ to go to a major university for a degree that doesn't matter where you get it.

Transfer after that (and actually end up paying less both due to having a AA degree with a high GPA (if you don't have a high GPA, don't go to an expensive university anyway), and because you are more likely to get scholarships etc.

AA degrees at CCs are as close to free as you can get, and may be totally free for everyone in the future (and are in some states already). Also lets you experiment a bit and see what types of classes you like. Want to take a theater arts class? No problem, try out sign language? Go for it, want to take Judo as a PE class, go for it...whatever you wanna try, do it at a CC where it costs almost nothing.

Doing anything else is just wasting money unless, like me, you get a full scholarship (graduated early, 4.0 GPA etc). If you get one of those, unlike me, be smart and actually use it.
