That's only about 2% less than the result it had in 2016 despite the addition of Ultimate to the latest Smash Bros. poll. Ultimate finished with 59.45% on Melee in the latest poll and that's a game which is less than 5 months old and likely has a playrate under 50% right now. With a performance like that, I have to think Ultimate has a good chance of being Melee directly in a 1v1 match during a contest. But it will be at least a few years before we will ever see Melee/Ultimate in a contest setting since this match is not possible in the next GotD contest.
