But it seems that Ultimate, despite people not considering it perfect, has done things right (we have to take into account that many Melee players liked Ultimate, or so I've heard...). Brawl has quite a few redeeming qualities, and I'm pretty sure it could still hold up well enough in a 1v1 against Melee. Still, I'm quite surprised that Smash 4 wasn't even able to beat the original.
