Alakazam then outright confirms it, saying Pikachu is the same Pikachu that came around a while back, and that he and Harry seemed pretty agitated. We ask all the other Pokmon, and they don't seem to know anything. Smeargle also had the full set of questions available, and mentioned that the mural was actually wrecked not by the rampaging Charizard himself, but by the other Pokmon stampeding out of fear from it. Oh, wait, I missed Trubbish! Trubbish remembers seeing Pikachu with Harry, and points us in the direction of Buneary, at the Ferris wheel in the back.The rain intensifies, and lightning strikes. The Ferris wheel seems gashed up, too, which doesn't fit with the reports of Charizard rampaging in the main square. Heliolisk is panicking, because that lightning strike trapped Buneary up near the top of the Ferris wheel. Apparently, ever since the incident, Buneary has gotten sad, so it goes up on the Ferris wheel to look out at the city, which Heliolisk runs for it using its electricity. Oh, it powers the machine that runs it, but the lightning likely shorted it out. Looking at the control room, a bunch of Joltik go scurrying off, and the wires are cut. We confirm that the Joltik are chewing on pieces of the wires. We talk to one and get a piece of the wire and a hint to the next one's location, and then we meet the cannon Loudred. Its voice fires the cannon. Checking the cannon reveals a Joltik inside, so Loudred fires it out. It points us down to the approach, where another got itself tangled up in the wire. It says the next one was avoiding the rain, so I head towards the helmet on the bench, but on the way, I get a Pika-prompt--and run into the next Joltik! It attached itself to Pikachu. We fix the Ferris wheel...for a few seconds. It's fried. Then Tim steals Pikachu's line, and we cut to Pikachu putting on the helmet in order to be fired out of the cannon up to Buneary. Oh, he's got a rope tied around him, so he can get himself and Buneary back down. They zipline down. And they find a locket, and Tim confirms that the woman in the picture is his mother, so Pikachu correctly surmises that the child is Tim. Tim's mother is also holding a baby in the photo; does Tim have a younger sibling we don't know about? And why did Buneary have the locket? Because Harry gave it to her. Harry and Pikachu asked Buneary about the accident and then were attacked by another person with a Skorupi. Pikachu fought off the Skorupi while Harry helped Buneary escape. He gave her the locket to give back to one of them when she saw them next, and this was the first she saw either of them. Pikachu suggests we head back for the day. As we leave, Mewtwo is looking on, and his internal monologue states, "Hmm. It seems Pikachu has indeed lost his memory. Nonetheless, he is continuing to keep his promise to me." Holiday is at the Baker Detective Agency when we return. We share what we've learned. Holiday says that the incidents have all been classified as accidents thus far because there didn't seem to be anything wrong with the Pokmon afterwards, and so we think that R leaves no trace. Oh, GNN is Chapter 6? That was short; only two posts long. The security guard who was at PCL in Chapter 3 is at GNN now. A Mimikyu has run off, and then we meet a guy with an Ekans. Ekans doesn't like how strong the AC is cranked up. We head off to the studio. 23rd floor. In Studio 1, Ethan Graham, president of GNN, is commending Mr. Clifford on his innovations, such as "Yanma cameras". Meiko heads off to get the videos, and Roger invites us on a tour of the studio. A cameraman says there are rumors that the staff will be switched up soon. Keith Norman is the assistant director, and he works with the Yanma. They're carrying cameras. Then an obnoxious lady named Olga comes in, asking about the location of her darling Purugly. A comedian named Max Warhol was dozing off at his desk, and mistakes Tim for a new member of the staff. His partner is a Chatot. Tim's never heard of him, which sends him into a funk. He also hosts the music show.
