So someone broke down chapter 1 of the story mode. I'll post some notes.

- Cassie Cage gets promoted, but only after she beats Sonya in a fight. She wins and gets the promotion.
- Jax has been discharged because he's gone crazy from everything he's been through.
- Johnny Cage congratulates Cassie, but he can't join them on their mission because he's going to film another Ninja Mime movie.
- Act surprised: Raiden fucked up again. He gave Liu Kang and Kitana Shinnok's head and they're going to put it in a regeneration chamber to revive him.
- Raiden attacks the Netherrealm with Special Forces and Raiden has enough strength to fight with the amulet (since normally his power is stunted in the Netherrealm) and it's basically that scene in the trailer with the lightning swords.
- Cassie goes through to stop it by beating up Jade (who is just a revanant, which is super lame and disappointing) and then someone else.
- She then beats up Liu Kang and then drops an F bomb on him.
- They plant a bomb and have to get out, but it goes off with Sonya left behind and she gets trapped under rubble, leaving her fate unknown.

Sounds interesting so far. The person recapping it said it is the best so far and really epic, so it's something to look forward to!
