My point is best summed up by Tycho from Penny Arcade's recent comments regarding the discussion surrounding Mass Effect 3's ending.
Creating or critiquing is just a way to pass the time until you die.
People complain about Other M not to get anywhere, because there's nowhere complaining about a finished work can get you. They do it just because that is what they feel like doing with their time. Just like none of you who complain about "beating a dead horse" are getting anywhere by complaining about it.
And that's a good point.
What I'm saying is that the critique of this particular game has been done to death, and nothing good can come of it.
The subject of "beating a dead horse" isn't as old as Other M hate. Though, I can see what you mean about it being pointless.
