He fits an interesting little part where he's just a greasy merc who is happy to do anything or betray anyone to get his slice. Sonya is kinda boring though. She just has nothing really going on, because even as a hardened military badass, she has almost no personality. I think they missed a boat on making her kind of ease up after being with Johnny.
