Write-Up:
Man this song... I honestly went back and forth on it a few times. It's a really fun beat to listen to especially if you dig the Piano play in the background but... it's sort of on a repetitious loop that can become tiresome. I don't exactly want to say that there isn't any variety in the rhythm but it is kinda limited in scope. The song is written about the experience of cruising down a lengthy road in Illinois that I guess connects a good part of the state on the south-western coast of Lake Michigan. Many speculate that the song is literally about the drug LSD and who knows, given some of the lyrics it could certainly be interpreted that way but I like to believe it's both. Just imagine trippin' on all of those lights in the big city of Chicago at night (seen in the video) as you cruise on by although I don't think driving at night on any kind of psychotropic is a great idea for obvious reasons but if you had a designated driver it could be fun. Marvel fans may notice that there is an edited version of this song featured on the soundtrack for Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2.
