Write-Up:
Interesting... this song seems to be the longest running #1 hit in all of Rod Stewart's career as well as the longest running #1 of 1976 accordingly. I like some of his music but I never really knew much about his history tbh. This is also not my favorite song of his either which disappoints me because one in particular that I selected for the ranking and is further up the list, supposedly isn't comparable based on sales records etc. Which is weird because I was sure the song (to be ranked) was much more popular. As of only a couple years ago Billboard even reported this song as one of the top 20 most popular songs to ever exist on thier charts. Maybe it's because Rod Stewart was more popular in the 70's than he was in the 80's??? I guess I'll find out once I get to that other song and get more details to compare. Anyway, this is an easy going song. Not bad for those times when you want to hear music but don't need anything jarring up your senses. Still kinda middle of the road for me though.
