| Cookie Bag 12/30/18 11:37:05 PM #360: | Finally finished Caligula Effect, god what a terrible anime, i'm forced to give it a 5/10 and not lower because it did some things i did like, most notably the music. The characters were between boring almost non-existent, it took the show 7 episodes to start fleshing them out, before that i didn't know who they were or what their names were since they were never properly introduced or mentioned at all asides from the MC. The story is kinda interesting, pretty much talks about escapism as a form of coping with real life but taken to the extreme and miu's misunderstanding on what "happiness" means and traps them into this perfect world; while some people loved this (the "villains" of the anime/game), some people started realizing that it's not right and wanted to go back to their real lives to try live their lives properly and try to push through the adversities they live through. From what i read the game itself didn't have a proper budget and suffers from the same issues as the anime so i guess that's extra points for being faithful to the original story? lol At least this saves me from actually buying the game and ill just get the OST online or something because man the OST is great. --- ...
