Original SSB (SSBWiki): 11/12 - Link Melee (SSBWiki): 4/26 - Sheik 14/26 - Ganondorf 16/26 - Young Link 18/26 - Link 22/26 - Zelda Brawl (SSBWiki): 13/37 - Toon Link 24/37 - Sheik 34/37 - Link 36/37 - Zelda 37/37 - Ganondorf SSB4 3DS + WiiU (SSBWiki): 4/55 - Sheik 23/55 - Toon Link 31/55 - Link 53/55 - Ganondorf 54/55 - Zelda Ultimate (Ranked Boost since SSBWiki hasn't updated with this): S/76 - Sheik C/76 - Ganondorf C/76 - Toon Link C/76 - Young Link C/76 - Zelda D/76 - Link Sheik is the only LoZ-character to be a top-ten Smash-character before, and she's been top-ten at least two different times (Ultimate is still new and working out its tiers, plus I switched sites for the details). Toon Link is the only LoZ-character to outdo Sheik, once, in Brawl...but that's not stopping me from taking Sheik > Toon Link in a match if given the chance. Also, notice how Sheik destroys Zeldas bottom-tier ass with every appearance. #DownB Does this matter? Yes! Imagine if Marth had a starring role in Ocarina of Time and didn't look or play like seven other jabronies. That's Sheik (get wrecked Marth). There's no perfect comparison available, but Pikachu and Fox have both been regularly ranked highly in the Smash-series and they can both cause some serious damage. Pikachu and Fox are a bit different, sure; they both have been in Smash since the beginning, and they both have leading roles throughout their original series. In Sheik's favor though, you do NOT underestimate Ocarina of Time. Since Zelda-leeched-by-Donkey-Kong barely lost to Charizard and Epona beat Ike nearly as much as Pikachu once did, Sheik's got to at least be in the conversation against Fox and Pikachu. She could outright beat them both! That's a quality spot for any debut character, and who knows -- she could surprise us even more from there! Link is the best LoZ-character in the Smash-series, and hes #1 on GameFAQs. Meanwhile, Sheik is the best Smash-character in the LoZ-series. Lets find out what that means for her.
