This is going to be quite a bizarre scenario if such a nomination rally ends up mirroring Zelda/Sheik in Smash, where the two characters (personas is a better word, identities perhaps?) were the same for a while, but then in one installment, they end up being split into two slots for good. How bizarre was it with Siegfried and Nightmare in Soul Calibur? We saw them in the same contest in 2008, and in 2011 they were even in the same matches together as rivals. Well, this is a question that I don't have an answer to, because I am not familar with the storyline of the Soul Calibur series. However, I have played Ocarina of Time and my memory of that game is that Sheik isn't really a separate character, but merely Zelda in disguise. Keeping with the Smash theme and remembering what happened in the Subspace Emissary, would you consider ~~The Ancient Minister and R.O.B.~~ to be separate characters? You're correct that in LoZ:OoT, Sheik is a disguise of identity for Zelda. Googles Ancient Minister Oh man, totally forgot about that thing though. No, I do not believe it matches the standard Siegfried and Nightmare set that Zelda and Sheik match: 1) Nightmare is a form of Siegfried = Sheik is a form of Zelda. <-- Ancient Minister is a form of R.O.B., sure I guess. 2) Nightmare was once considered to be Siegfried, but they entirely separated in Soul Calibur 3 = Sheik was once considered to be Zelda, but they entirely separated in SSB4. <-- Where is the entire separation of characters? It appears to me the Ancient Minister was ditched upon the reveal. 3) Nightmare's play-style is significantly different from Siegfried's = Sheik's play-style is significantly different from Zelda's. --> We never got a mechanical difference between R.O.B. and the Ancient Minister. R.O.B./Ancient Minister also get points for looking quite different and having unique names instead of being like Mario/Dr. Mario.
