Eh. Most people go to a rap show to get hype or hear the ad libs/freestyles they do over their art so that ones kind of a wash

what do you mean by that exactly?

beyond the high-school-variety-show level, music should generally be performed with a band, or at least an accompanist (the singer can also be the accompanist I'd definitely be into a rapper who could accompany themselves on guitar or piano). I do not think hip-hop should be exempt from this
