That gets us in the middle of GotY excitement and "best game of the decade" lists other sites will be running around that time so it will be more topical, plus it will launch more hyped 2019 releases into the bracket which should increase the unpredictability even further. Here's a rough schedule that I would like to see: December 17th - Announce contest on Board 8 and open up nominations to just Board 8. December 21st - Place a link to the nomination form on the homepage where it will be seen by the entire site. January 7th - Take the nomination form offline. January 10th - Release the bracket and begin the contest entry period. January 27th - First matches of the contest begins.
