I don't know if they just didn't plan to focus on microtransactions at first or if it was delayed because of heists, or if it was a reaction to the rampant money cheating that when on in the first six months. But by the time they rolled out the heavy microtransactions there was a least a base game that was fun. Red Dead Online is just...boring. And I don't honestly know why anyone would spend any money on the shit on offer when it's all so pointless. None of the weapons have *that* much of an advantage from what I've seen. Most of the clothing options look like shit. Having a fast horse doesn't really matter when a few shots kill them. On top of that, they locked everything out with ridiculously high ranks but nothing is fun enough where I feel like reaching any of those ranks to unlock to stuff to then pay gold for. --- America is a tune.
