tl:dw

Sometimes when you need gold to buy an object, going to the online store and buying said gold causes the option to buy the item to disappear entirely.

Rockstar so far has refused to acknowledge this bug and instead just redirects people who send emails to their support to GTA Online fixes that have nothing to do with this.

Red Dead Online is dead in the water IMO.

There's absolutely no worthwhile content. There's only like 10 or so missions, and everything else is PvP content where the defender is at a huge disadvantage.

They've nerfed hunting and fishing because they paid out too much, so there's not much reason to do them anymore when it's infinitely more fulfilling in single player.

They never implemented card games or the fun shit.

The novelty of a big ass open world grief fest was fun five years ago, now? Kids would rather play Fortnite.

I don't play Fortnite, it's just not my thing, but nice attempt at being clever.

Red Dead Online is such a weird piece of shit.

Like, I think they honestly lucked out with GTA Online. I don't know if they just didn't plan to focus on microtransactions at first or if it was delayed because of heists, or if it was a reaction to the rampant money cheating that when on in the first six months.

But by the time they rolled out the heavy microtransactions there was a least a base game that was fun.

Red Dead Online is just...boring. And I don't honestly know why anyone would spend any money on the shit on offer when it's all so pointless. None of the weapons have *that* much of an advantage from what I've seen. Most of the clothing options look like shit. Having a fast horse doesn't really matter when a few shots kill them.

On top of that, they locked everything out with ridiculously high ranks but nothing is fun enough where I feel like reaching any of those ranks to unlock to stuff to then pay gold for.

It's more Take 2 than Rockstar.

So much so, that I have to wonder exactly who is behind RD Online because it's so baffling awful even from the standpoint of trying to make money. GTA Online flat out removed rank restrictions by the time heists came out I'm pretty sure, and the real Microtransaction push happened with the update after that (I'll Gotten Gains)

But then they come out with RDOnline and it's like "This hat is worth 10 gold bars, but you need to be rank 50 before you can buy it"

Unless I missed the part where you could buy ranks or something, why would you shoot yourself in the foot like this?

lol talk about over reacting. Game has barely been out two months. It took GTA:O almost a year until it was in a playable state.

As a huge RDR2 fan that has been playing CoD more than RDO, I say give it a few months. R* knows exactly what they are doing.

Whether you agree with their practices or not, they have been consistent in updating GTAO with content keeps the game going. Especially game modes that you dont need to be an in-game millionaire to play.

C'mon this is bullshit. It did take GTAO almost a year and you would think they learned a lesson from that.

But nope. Still crap release. And people like you are letting them slide with excuses like this.

No, it did not take GTA Online a year to be in a playable state. Game got rid of most of the connection hiccups within a month, they were completely gone by Christmas of 2013.

Even the billionaire glitch was patched out by January 2014.

And even then, there was still far more content in base GTA Online than there is in RD Online. You can't hide behind the fact it is in some bullshit "beta" when they've opened up the microtransactions.

Ok great. Well let me know when its no longer in beta and well see if it takes longer than a month to get it sorted.
