Most of my Steam library only cost me $5-10, typically for games that would have been $20-$30 at full price (even without counting humble bundle stuff, which offers even better deals). Sales like that certainly exist for physical games, but they take a lot more shopping around and effort than just checking Steam/GOG/Humble whenever they've got a big sale on.
