Ultimately, though all art is politics. Its just a hell of a lot easier to ignore it when those politics match up with yours: I wear my heart, and beliefs, on my sleeve. And I always will.

I want to spend mine making it a better and more caring place.

Okay so

1. He admits that he is bringing politics into his art. Fine. But

2. He morally grandstands upon his politics. "I can't help but be political, my politics are for goodness and against evil."

ergo he is consciously saying "I consider it a moral good to spread my political ideology."

He sounds like a person who can't see any good in his political opponents. I prefer such people not be the influencers. :|
