I would ask what the flying crap you have against Samus, and to be brutally honest she's an iconic and "important" enough character that I can't fault people for calling you sexist over it, but there's enough of a wealth of female video game characters that I won't personally go that far.

But while your average person on the street probably wouldn't recognize Samus, the average person who visits gaming sites most definitely would. And I'm not even necessarily sure that *Snake* would beat Samus on *any* other site. Again, Metal Gear is dead while Metroid isn't, and I generally hear more criticism for Metal Gear games than for Metroid games. That's not to say Metal Gear is *not* popular, it obviously is, but how can you be so shocked that Samus is killing Snake? Especially since Samus and Metroid are far more this site's cup of tea than Snake and his games. If anything it's an act of mercy that Snake even did okay.

Snake is a cool character, but come on.
