I enjoyed Smash Bros when I was a kid but once I got to my teen years it just got extremely boring. I was kinda hyped for Brawl because I had a Wii and this was supposed to be one of the biggest exclusives, and only 15 minutes in I realized the game was boring.
Like even with couch multiplayer it was fun for only about 15 minutes.
I feel like Smash subsists purely on hype and Nintendo fandom.
Brawl is not good, at least not as a fighter. 64 and Melee have much better gameplay, and on a competitive level they appeal to people well beyond their teen years.
I can't say anything about Ultimate because it just came out and I haven't played it yet. Sm4sh was meh.
Well I don't like competitive fighting games to begin with, and I found Brawl boring as a party game despite people considering it the most casual of the series.
