October's Storm: Nice song! It's got a good sound and a nice message. I still prefer Moments, but I'd say this is a definite step up from everything else on that album.

Feeling in the Night is interesting, bringing a much jazzier sound than I'd come to expect from the band. Not my favorite song of theirs, but it gives a new perspective on the band and was well worth listening to.

Shpongle: I apparently can't spell that, sorry about the repeated flipping of the letters earlier. Anyway, I see why the band (or artist, let's not pretend I know who or what they are) wound up where it did--the nominated song was interesting, but not really amazing... and the trippier Shpongle songs tend to run too long. "Divine Moments of Truth" starts off incredible--research says the vocal parts are being played forwards and backwards, giving this distorted effect. Then we've got throat singers, style changes, it's so unique that I'm drawn into it... but it just doesn't need to be over ten minutes long.

Some other song I listened to by them had similar problems. It does things I like, but doesn't manage to hold my attention for the full ten minutes--not that there aren't long songs that I like, but these aren't them. But they are interesting enough that I'll probably go back occasionally and flip through songs at random; feels like they should have at least one song that I absolutely love, but I haven't found it yet.
