Gravity was the one movie remaining left I didn't like back at 15. I'm going to mostly chalk up why I don't "get" the movie to the fact that I never saw it in theaters as I've heard many a time is necessary, including in these write-ups, but in some ways I think that could be considered an objective flaw in the movie if it's one note to the point where you lose that much by not having a great viewing atmosphere, sound system, etc.

But I think charon pinpointed why I just couldn't get into it beyond the obvious not viewing it in the perfect atmosphere. A bit of character development for the main before she gets sent into space, while making it lose artsy "look how fresh this movie is~" points, would probably improve the experience for me tremendously. The main being cast as a lesser known rather than Sandra Bullock may have helped get me immersed in too and let it click. I don't know. It's hard to know.
