The argument could be made that $15 million a year and 4 1st round picks would be worth it. But even then that seems steep. A player of Nylander's caliber, however, is nowhere close. You'd have to be at at least $8 million for the Leafs to not match it, and then you'd be giving up a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round pick. I'd gladly take that.
