| pionear 11/29/18 12:43:06 PM #9: | As someone with an ethnic (not 'Ghetto') name, I can understand how she feels...BUT, her name isn't 'ethnic' at all...just some Millennial/Hipster lady trying to be Hip and Different with her child. I just don't understand why they just name their dogs this or better yet, change their own damn name to something unusual and different. It's a real cowardly thing to do to put her thru that. My dad had the option to name me after himself or one of my ancestors. He chose my great grandfather because "I lived with my name all my life, I am not putting my son through that". It is a good philosophy to have, even if you don't get bullied over it just having to explain it to everyone you meet is enough to convince me to keep the name simple and somewhat common.
