But yeah the thing keeps on ramping up to ridiculous levels, power levels included, it's why the dragonball analogy I kind of get what you mean, but at the same time, the magical girl genre does ridiculous power ramps too. Usagi and Madoka practically become reality-bending goddesses by the end of their shows, and Sakura also approaches reality-bending magical power but never uses her power to that extent. Several Precure teams also approach planet-busting levels of power by the end of their series, and Nanoha with all of her limiters removed could probably do the same.
