MariaTaylor 11/20/18 11:04:56 PM #270:	Illaoi gonna have to say sorry to brother prof on this one, I don't really see anything particularly special here that would put her above the rest of the generic humans cast. it's true that in theory I like female characters who are tall, and who are stronger, but in practice there's always certain bits of context that can affect my opinions on character design. it's worth noting that when I say strong I also mean stuff like magic, having top tier fighting skills, etc. and not just physically "strong." although raw strength is pretty cool too, there's honestly a point at which characters become a bit too muscular looking that starts to detract from their design for me. I think I mentioned this in one of the earlier generic action dude write ups. anyway, I do think Illaoi is sort of past that line, although I will say her ingame sprite looks a lot better to me than her splash arts. also maybe I'm just an evil sexist or something but I do definitely prefer more feminine traits and she doesn't seem to have as many of those. honestly her appearance is really inconsistent between her splash art, character sprite, and fan arts... and I think it kinda shows that a lot of fans also prefer to draw her slightly more feminine than her canon design. I guess the world is just not ready for the kraken priestess even in 2018.... the resistance skin looks cool as hell though, I chose that one to post for the art in this topic. Irelia another generic human fighter, she's a melee fighter who enhances her abilities with magic. hey, we just talked about this a few entries ago! guess it's not as rare in league as in some other settings. she's kind of pretty but doesn't stand out in any particular way that would cause me to rate her as high as, say, caitlyn. placement: a sort of ahri or camille type that I don't particularly care about, but is somewhat visually appealing. I like her better than ahri but probably less than camille (since camille is more nonhuman) I once again went ahead and used my favorite splash art here even though it's not much like her basic design at all. if she actually was a fairy or something she'd be a lot cooler... Ivern just your average big tree dude. not really terrible or amazing. I get the impression that literally no one cares about this guy, mostly because he only has two splash arts and not a lot of other materials listed on the wiki. didn't see much fan art of him either so I wouldn't be surprised if people generally forget about him. of course this is all speculation. anyway as someone who does like to use more CC type abilities I can honestly say the main reason is because I'm really bad at aiming. the idea of having to aim a skillshot at an opponent and hit them with it in order to root them sort of goes against the entire point of playing a control character, at least for me. I bumped his placement a bit because of the dance, but now I'm wondering if every champ has one?
