My Spymaster was caught by the Basileus and will probably be tortured and blinded now. Whoops. I hired a new spymaster and sent him to Uppland because I noticed that finally Sigurdr Ring has pissed off enough people that I can plot his assassination. The first one to sign up for the plot was his own wife, Queen Alfhildr, who he recently insulted and fired from his council. And then just like that boom. The queen hired someone to poison her own husbands wine, and the deed was done. Nobody found out who poisoned him. RIP you psychotic asshole.

Now that Sigurdr isnt in charge of his family, I betrothed young Gunnar to his daughter Elin who, in the succession, became Chieftess of Narke. Even if she doesnt hold onto it for long, she should keep the claim, meaning Gunnar can fight for it on her behalf. If all goes well, she will be Tombolos mother, and therefore Tom will have a claim on that land, too.

While waiting to acquire some money and increase my troop count, I spend some prestige on warrior buildings. Stuff to improve my troop count EVEN MORE. Since the old spend 500 prestige on an OP army trick was nerfed (read: removed), I have nothing better to do with my prestige

In honor of her contribution to killing her own husband (and to test out some new mechanics), I tried to sway the old Queen Alfhildr. I invited her to my home and we had a good time. We had a frugal dinner, but she was happy with it. Then on her way home she died of Pneumonia. I got a mini-message with my character saying that she hoped Alfhildr remembered me fondly in her last moments. RIP.

Gunnar reached age 6 and its time to start raising him! Unfortunately, the kid is a brat who cant tell right from wrong, so I had to use the old medieval cure for bad behavior: the strap.
