(When I designed my ruler, I mostly took it as a balance so I could pick some good traits without making myself 50 years old. I also have a bit of a stutter in real life.) In the game, my stutter caused me to trip over my words when some foreign dignitaries visited, so I got a Diplomacy malus. Oh well. I let a year pass so I could train up some troops. I now have twice as many as Frde below me. An easy war. Speaking of war, the game used to have a cheesy thing tribal characters could do where they could spawn 2500 men out of their ass for a cost of 500 Prestige. (Bear in mind my army right now is 600 men. A 2500 stack is overkill at this point.) This used to be many players go-to strategy (gain prestige, and then wipe out neighbors), but this has been removed. So uhh, I have to actually fight legitimately now! Although its also good because it means my enemies cant spawn 2500 stacks out their ass either. Wow! Forget what I said about Sigurdr Ring. The man went on a rampage and for some reason my husband was in the way and yeah fucker killed my husband. Fuck you, Sigurdr Ring. In the event, I chose to make him my rival. Ugh its fine, I wanted to move my Chancellor anyway. Now shes fabricating claims in Sogn. In the mean time, I married a guy named Ormr whose stats leave a lot to be desired. Well, he did the one thing he was hired to do. I became pregnant and now Im excited to see what pregnancy events Ill get! the first one was suggesting on a regent oh yeah, that was my previous husband, too. >_> The game recommended my Marshal, and shes doing great, so I went along with it. The next event pointed out that this is her first pregnancy and she is worried about doing something wrong. I get the options of praying for good health, resting and avoiding hard tasks, or finding something to distract myself from this burden. Since my character is Cynical, the first one isnt like her. Shes also Diligent, and I dont think she would take the second choice. Therefore, I picked to distract myself from the burden. She then considered leaving an offering to the gods which I kinda want to take just to see if it leads to anything else. However, it would lower my health and gold, so I think Ill hold off on that. Plus, I wonder if thatll lead to worse events that might get me auto-killed. I said that it was dangerous to go out alone in my condition. Haha, I got an event about craving some funky food while pregnant. one of the options would make me Gluttonous, which I definitely dont want. The other options are for quails foot, hares head, or trout eye. wtf? I picked the trout eye for maximum weirdness. Oh no, apparently the signs are bad and she thinks this is a cursed pregnancy She became stressed as a result. Ah, interesting. During the last month before the pregnancy, the game will make your character rest/go into hiding and appoint a regent. Neat! He was born! Behold Gunnarr Ormrson of House Boardeight! Gods willing, he will be my next character, thus handsomboy2012s character! Ironically, uhh poor Gunnarr is not a handsome boy. >_> He inherited Mamas stutter AND came out Ugly! Poor kid :( This will immediately give him a -2 to Diplomacy, but it's alright. Hes gonna be a warrior!
