Alright, guess I'll start posting it here. No reason to make a new topic is this one is still kicking. I will @ people when their character comes up, but for some of you its gonna be a while, maybe even a few weeks with my work schedule as busy as it is. Also, I started with a character based on myself so I could kick things off.

Crusader Kings II: Holy Fury playthrough with the House of Boardeight

DLC used: all except for Conclave because I hate it, and Jade Dragon because I have yet to see a reason to buy it (I know I could just acquire it, but ehh its alright. I dont think it adds enough to the game for me to care.)

I used the ruler designer to change the Count of Sunnmaere into a woman. >_> Her name is Erika, in the House of Boardeight. Our dynasty flag is a sweet red dragon on a white and black flag (I know there are technical terms for describing flags, but fuck learning that.)

We rule the counties of Sunnmre and Romsdal (English names.) The original Norse names are available, but I dont play with cultural names on, so thats what their names will be for this playthrough. Were on the western coast of Norway.

Game rules:

Everything was left on its default setting unless otherwise noted. I also note new rules

I decided to turn off the Mongol/Aztec invasions since Im in the one part of the world where they could both fuck me. Turkic conquerors are okay, though.

Generate Families: This is a new thing, but I kinda like it, so I turned it on.

Exclave Independence: Another new thing. I dont care about border gore as much as some other players, so Im gonna leave it off.

Shattered retreat off for the sake of my sanity.

Army movement lock: This is a new one and Im not sure Ill like it or not. Im gonna turn it off for now, just so I dont have to learn new battle strategies.

Gender Equality is set to All because I like playing as women and having female counselors.

Supernatural and absurd events are on (the absurd one is new)

I like to turn direct assassination on. Sometimes you have a problems and the only way to deal with it is to throw money at it. I rarely use direct assassination anyway since it costs a lot of money for a small chance (and a chance the target could retaliate), but I like to have the choice.

AI Seduction is set to off for personal reasons. In a previous game of mine, I had 3 rulers who were all stuck with the name the Unfaithful because they got seduced by a powerful AI when they were dumb 16 year olds. Even though they were great queens who should have gotten a much better nickname. While I like the idea of letting a few people get seduced once in a while, I hate when its forced on me because my heirs did it before I took control of them.

Releasing prisoners after punishment was turned off because Im a sick sadistic fuck.

Im turning off Cultural names because otherwise I will never remember them. I once turned on cultural names for an Ireland game. I was the Count of Deasmhumhain. Since then, Ive always just left the Cultural names off for my own sanity. No offense to all the wonderful and vibrant cultures out there.

There are a bunch of new things for Holy Fury which mostly wont apply to me since we wont be playing as Catholics, but Ill leave them on for the AI to play with.

Pregnancy text is new and Im looking forward to seeing what may happen there.

Martial headgear and blood splatter are new options which will change your portrait appropriately as needed. Martial headgear happened automatically already, but now its an option. Blood splatter is new.

Hellenic Revival is on, though I doubt the AI will manage that lol.
