Whoops, the YT link is down.
Well, this song is very similar in many regards with Mr. Booze. First of all, the crowd doesn't really factor in that much. Or at least from song itself I don't get the feeling that this backing chorus is truly singing from their hearts and not just for show.
As for the context itself uhh...I read the Wikipedia entry and apparently the song is about literally people repenting after confessing their sins? Too Biblical for me. Not that I take offense in the song's subject, but it's just weird that the lyrics are very non-specific and non-committal and very generic that it can be anyone singing that song. It just lacks relevancy and character by being too broad. Also it's like literally commanding an archangel to do your bidding which sounds more like a Satanist's thing than anything. "Blow, Gabriel, blow!" "Uriel, lock the window." "Michael, pick up the tab." omg rude??!
