You won't inherit the house?

Sometimes I wonder what if my mother donate the house to some Buddhist monks instead of passing it on to my sister and me. I'll be surprise but actually wouldn't be upset since it is within her right. She has done a lot for us already as we were growing up. I wouldn't feel like she owe us to give us the house.

The family is one unit so if you move out you're spending more money which is the family's money.

Funny enough my up until my sister got married, my mother was actually against her moving out to live with her at the time, boyfriend. She wasn't against it due to cultural reasons or not trusting her son-in-law but rather she just felt it was a waste of money. Though I think my sister and brother-in-law still stay apart as respect to his parents of not living together till married.
